Event Description

Commercial UAV Expo, presented by Commercial UAV News, is the world’s leading commercial drone trade show and conference focusing on the integration and operation of commercial UAS in select vertical markets.

The 2025 edition of Commercial UAV Expo has been demonstrating a passionate continued commitment to the commercial UAS industry. Since its inception, Commercial UAV Expo has aimed to serve as an essential platform for collaboration and knowledge exchange amid the ongoing growth and revolution of the commercial UAS sector – and this year is set to be its biggest yet.

Commercial drone professionals are eagerly anticipating Commercial UAV Expo 2025, where they can look forward to critical, timely education delivered by industry leaders, opportunities to network and engage with peers, and the best opportunity of the year to see and learn about the newest technology through conference sessions, workshops, and the Indoor Airspace demonstrations. The show floor features an expanded exhibit hall with an expected 225 industry-leading providers showcasing their latest UAS solutions including airframes, software, sensors, and services. The event is expected to attract 4,000 commercial drone professionals from around the world and is backed by more than 300 associations and media companies.

The 2025 Conference Program will spotlight real-world use cases that drive efficiency, safety, and operational success. Whether you’re building a drone program, refining workflows, or navigating compliance, you’ll find practical insights tailored to your needs. Focused tracks will address the unique challenges and opportunities faced by drone pilots, project managers, service providers, surveyors, airspace management, and public safety. These tracks will offer targeted education designed to help professionals take the next step with UAV technology—whether that means scaling operations, exploring new applications, or aligning with regulatory best practices. Attendees will also gain insights on cross-functional topics including FAA regulation for BVLOS operations, AI integration, data workflows, battery life, and the evolving future of UAV operations. The program delivers value for all levels— from new learners to seasoned experts.

The Drone Pilot Hub is a dynamic space in the Commercial UAV Exhibit Hall that will feature content tailored for attendees who are new or current professional drone pilots. Learning opportunities include drone pilot preparations for Part 107 tests, discussion of standard operating procedures and best practices for flights, and details of regulation and documentation.

Commercial UAV Expo is produced by Diversified’s technology portfolio, which also includes Commercial UAV News, Commercial UAV Forum, Geo Week, Geo Week Newsletter, Geo Business (UK), and Digital Construction Week (UK).

Special Onsite Events

STORY ANGLES

1. Understanding the price of standing still

As the drone industry accelerates forward with new technologies and partnerships, standing still means falling behind. The Commercial UAV Expo conference program includes sessions that provide insights on how to actively plan ahead so your company doesn’t fall behind. Sessions such as “Creating a Drone Integration Roadmap” and “Balancing Price, Platform, and Performance” will address the specific practices attendees can use to make sure their drone operations are on track to scale.

2. New itineraries

This year, the Commercial UAV Expo Conference Program features dedicated session itineraries to help guide attendees through what content will be most valuable to them based on their current role or where they want to be in the future. Itineraries include Airspace Management, Drone Pilots, Project Managers, Public Safety, Service Providers, and Surveyors. These sessions will be addressing critical issues in each field, best practices for data collection, and an outlook on the future for all sectors. These categories are meant to help attendees make the most out of all the content provided at Commercial UAV Expo, but they are open to all backgrounds to attend. There is something to be learned by all in each of the sessions.

3. Pilot Hub programming

The pilot hub returns this year with an emphasis on the evolving role of drone pilots. Just being able to fly the drone is no longer enough to make pilots desirable. As the market shifts and technology evolves, how can pilots stay ahead of the curve? Our sessions and programming in the pilot hub will discuss the reality of these shifts. Attendees can network with other pilots and hear from companies who have drone programs discuss what is happening.

4. Bigger focus on the end user perspective

End users of drone technology hold a wealth of information on what is working well and what

needs to be improved upon for drone operations. Commercial UAV Expo Conference sessions this year feature more end users to provide insight into those details. What software collects the most accurate and clear data? Why choose a certain model of drone for a land survey over another? Viewpoints such as these will be discussed throughout the event.

5. The essentials of collaboration

Despite your specific role or sector, there are cross-sectional opportunities for attendees to

learn from one another at Commercial UAV Expo. It is likely that a service provider faces similar challenges that a project manager does, or that one company has the process to adopting drone technology that another could take notes from. Sessions like “Democratizing Cooperation and Collaboration Across the Airspace” open these conversations up across the show to encourage attendees to discuss how they can work together to advance industry across all sectors.

6. What's next for the drone industry

The industry is evolving at a rapid pace, with new technologies and the possibility of new

regulations that would open doors, there is excitement and uncertainty. What does the

advancements in AI mean for operations, what new technologies will propel the industry

forward? What will enable operations to scale up? The Commercial UAV Expo Conference

Program features sessions that will address the future of the industry and will invite attendees

to participate in this larger conversation through roundtable discussions. These sessions serve as an opportunity to learn how to use the knowledge gained at the show and apply that to your company’s mission.
