Sencer Özkurt was born on the 17th of May 1984 in Istanbul, Turkey. Following his education at Kuleli Military High School between 1999-2003, he started the Turkish Military Academy in 2003 and graduated in 2007 as a 2nd Lieutenant, with a Bachelor of Science in Systems Engineering.

After completing the Armor Officer Basic Course, Commando Course, and Paratrooper Course, he served as an armored platoon leader between 2008-2009. Between 2009-2010 he attended the Light Cavalry Course and Counter-IED Training and Awareness Course. He served as an internal security ops platoon leader between 2010-2012. He participated in many inland operations as part of the counter-terrorism operation.

He was assigned to the armored company commander and served between 2012- 2015. He was commissioned as an Intelligence Officer to the armored battalion in September 2015 and served six months.

He resigned from his military career in February 2016 and joined a corporate company as an office manager, and worked between 2016-2018.

He joined Bupat in June 2018 as a technical consultant to promote and sell technical products, ascertain the needs of the customer, promote the relevant products, and demonstrate clearly how the products work.

He is a member of the AFCEA (Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association) Turkey Chapter. He is married and has one child.
